Dubai’s Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is showcasing how utility-scale PV can thrive in extreme desert conditions, combining more than 2.5 million bifacial solar modules with AI-driven tracking and robotic cleaning to maximize energy output from sunrise to sunset.
Spanning 10 square kilometres and reaching 900MW in its fifth phase, the project is on track to power over 250,000 homes while cutting more than 1.1 million tons of CO₂ emissions each year. By pairing advanced solar tracking technology with continuous innovation in plant design and operations, the park is setting a global benchmark for cost-effective, large-scale clean energy deployment in arid environments.
